Fire prevention is everybody's job.Use extension cords only when absolutely necessary.
If extension cords are used, they should be made of heavy guage wire, properly rated for the intended use, and should not have frayed wires or damaged plugs.
Keep the workspace free of excess debris. Discard trash as soon as possible.
Never store items in aisles or near fire exits.
Know how to evacuate from your work area.
Find the nearest pull station and all the fire exits near your work area BEFORE you need them.
NEVER use an elevator during a fire.
